As the Kilo Yankee Platoon exists to celebrate games in which you spot targets, track targets and shoot at targets, we are thrilled to see US Olympic Shooter Kimberly Rhode tie a world record for doing the same things.  Well, generally the same things.  She uses an actual gun and competes against the world’s best.  We use controllers and compete against whomever spawns onto our server.  Mostly unsupervised children with colorful vocabularies.  But that aside, it’s almost kind of probably the same thing…  Continue reading

So long, and thanks for all the wins.

What a season it was.  The Indiana loss in December that was avenged in the tourney.  Facing a fierce in-state rival in the Final Four.  And then having to play a team with a knack for orchestrating late game come backs for the win.

The Kentucky Wildcats are your 2012 National Champions

Lexington area couches began to breathe a sigh of relief when, in the waning moments of last night’s championship game, the Kansas Jayhawks appeared to be making one of their patented last second comebacks.  But in accordance with the prophecy, the Kentucky Wildcats managed to fend off the late surge to clinch their 8th National Championship.  As of this posting, the pained moans of singed couches can still be heard all over the state.  Continue reading
